AGC and Kitakyushu City reduce the installation cost of security cameras by approximately 60% through a demonstration experiment of the window-mounted camera "Mihalmo."

AGC Inc. (President: Yoshinori Hirai) and Kitakyushu City (Mayor: Kazuhisa Takeuchi) conducted Japan's first demonstration experiment utilizing AGC's window-mounted camera "Mihalmo" for crime prevention purposes. This initiative was implemented using the framework of the "Kitakyushu Advanced Industrial Technology Demonstration One-Stop Center (National Strategic Special Zone Project)." The results of the demonstration experiment confirmed that "Mihalmo" is effective as a security camera and that it can reduce installation costs by approximately 60% compared to conventional outdoor security cameras, significantly shortening the construction period.

I want to add cameras to the pickup/drop-off area and the playground of the nursery. However, many facility operators face challenges such as "not being able to secure a budget for installation work on the exterior walls" and "not being able to take time for construction during the day when children are present." At Kamikomatsu Nursery, we have experimentally introduced a camera called "Mihalmo," which is installed on the inside of the window and can capture outdoor footage, working to strengthen our security and monitoring system without any construction. ◆ Common issues with installing security cameras in nurseries - Want to increase the number of cameras around the pickup/drop-off area and gates, but the budget for exterior wall construction is tight. - Parents and local governments are demanding stronger measures against suspicious individuals. - There are limited opportunities to carry out construction. ◆ The option of window-mounted camera "Mihalmo" Mihalmo is a security camera that can be attached with magnets to the sash part on the inside of the window. No construction is needed as long as there is a power source. If there are windows facing the pickup/drop-off area or playground, it can be used as a security and monitoring camera. Its biggest feature is that it can clearly capture outdoor scenes while being installed on the inside. Thanks to AGC's proprietary technology, reflections through the glass are significantly reduced, allowing for clear footage of the pickup times and playground activities. Additionally, because it uses magnets, it can be installed, removed, and repositioned without tools, and expansion is possible.
